I use essential oil inhalers frequently in my daily life. In fact, they may just be the one means of therapeutic use that I grab most often. They are convenient, easy to transport, incapable of creating a mess, and incredibly versatile.

Why to use them:
- They are portable and can travel with you in a pocket or purse.
- The smell is contained and only affects you so they are great for crowded areas such as airports, malls, and large family gatherings.
- They are just a grab away, if you need a moment of tranquility, grab your Peace blend, give it a sniff, take a deep breath, and keep on with your activity.
- They are safe to use in homes with newborns or others who are too sensitive for normal essential oil use, as the scent does not disperse.
When to use them:
- When you can’t use a diffuser.
- In crowded, public places.
- When you don’t have access to your full stash.
- When you just need a quick boost.
Favorite ways to use them:
- Keeping a peace blend in my car for when I’m driving, which causes me anxiety, or when I’m driving to something that could cause me anxiety.
- Throwing some in my purse for whatever therapeutic need I might think could happen that day.
- Keeping them in the diaper bag and my toddler’s room for tantrums, outbursts, and moments that need calming. She knows what to do when I hand her the stick, and often asks me to smell along with her.
How to use them:
- All you need to do once you have your inhalers is drop about 10 drops of essential oil in the proper ratios onto the cotton wick, insert, close the cap, and label the blend.
- When you want to use the blend, unscrew the top, take in a few deep breaths of the oils, and close it back up.

As with any essential oil, educate yourself. Do your research on the company you have chosen; call them and ask questions, research their farms, distillation processes, GC/MS reports, organic practices, and other data. Essential oils are powerful and must be treated as such. Please, keep them in a locked cabinet far away from children.
I’ve been wondering about these but hadn’t actually looked into how to use them! Thank you for sharing!
